About poems written in France, “Meet me in a moment”

Meet Me in a moment that lasts as long as we’ll remember
That feels like a September
And smells as if the wind blew sun against our skin
Burning away the recollection of anything that happened before we loved
This way
That way
Dreams become recipes we know by heart
And songs we sing forever
And homes we build together
And return to
Wondering why we left to find forever
When it had already begun
When it already hung in frames
Then we’d walk outside
And fly
Only to fall out of the sky
And land in a moment that lasts as long
as
we
choose
to
remember
